Une Femme... C'est Ma Mere!

Pretty fun yesturday(cough), my mom was getting ready to go eat out while I got to mope at home and catch up on my load of homework. Why do I have to be so busy?

...........................

About a month ago I picked out these pieces at Nordstrom Downtown Seattle and people were complimenting her left and right when they saw the outfit I put together right in the store!

I loved the cropped jacket for it's feminine  yet harsh chic cut.
Cropped  is the way to go for any season you guys. When I saw the jacket on the rack I was like, please oh please there must be a size 0 left!!!

And there was!

About 20 feet away I saw the beautiful Kangaroo Pocket Sheer Cowl Neck Poncho style shirt. What ever size was left I had to have it (there was an XS though thank Jeezuuuzz)!

Right at that moment I knew that I had to have them!

To tell you the truth the price tags were a bit painfull to look at because we're not really used to buying such expensive clothes (H&M is OUR go to store).

................
On a side note:
Guess how old my mom is? ;)

Une Femme.... C'est qui?

So i was busy this week with classes at my college. I can't believe I have so much homework this quarter!

Update On Pics:
Haven't had time to take them yet I'll most likely get them up by the end of next week? (I have work this weekend and I'm getting ready for my term paper!).

For anyone who has seen my blog and have come back... sorry about the delays... 2moro will be fantastic!
I'll post pics of "une femme" within 24 hours. It's a mix of urban chic with a very relaxed and whimsical/airy look to it.

I also started working on my second line and for now its turning out to be very thematic compared to the first line which i haven't uploaded anything on that yet!

Some quick notes:
2nd line will be for Spring 2011. Fisherman inspired clothing. A Mix of structured and free flowing clothing. It definately ties in with my first line ever on Fall 2010. Hope to see some responses soon when things get posted!

Fashion Design... A Wooly Rendez-Vous

So I've finally gotten back to school and classes and I am loaded with homework this quarter. This blogging thing will be a stretch for me BUT I will try to keep everyone posted on what is upcoming and IMPORTANT!

A side note....
I'll try to make this blog more personable and less promoting of products.
(No traffic yet but i'll see)
.............................

Wool, Patent Leather, Silk Chiffon, Silk Organza

Last quarter I took a fashion design class and overall I'd have to say that I enjoyed the experience and it pushed my creativity and triggered some color choice questioning.

We had to create a line of clothing 12+ pieces specifically under certain categories such as:

Evening Dresses
Day Dresses
Casual Sportswear
......

Well I was lucky enough to design a mix of both seperates and dresses.
(AKA Designer WOMENSWEAR)

Now this whole thing may sound tacky and lame because it's for SCHOOL but it was much more fun than I anticipated.

....

Now, besides designing clothes (just drawing =/), we had to also create a customer profile w/ board and a line list which showed off our designs!

After many months of working on this final project we presented our work IN FRONT OF THE CLASS.
I was personally very nervous abuot showing off my work BECAUSE for me this was a piece of me and not something i drew up at the last minute. I worked on this for hours on end perfecting many ideas that were spinning around in my head.

(I'll post some pics of my work and a PDF showing off my Garment Line List in about a week or two since my teacher hasn't finished grading it yet [for anyone interested in seeing my work hahah...] )

But really... for anyone who is interested, this is what I've done for the past 4 months in school.
Also, it was really fun seeing everyones work! But personally, I'd say that my custoemr board and my line was the most creative in class. IMHO.

Pretty Cool eh?
